Is Beautycounter A Good Fit For Your Existing Nutrition Business?

Judging by the title of this page, you may think I'm going to try to convince you that becoming a Beautycounter consultant and selling safer skincare and makeup is the key to success in your holistic nutrition or health coaching business.

In fact, I'm probably going to tell you the exact opposite.

Which is kind of strange, considering how much fun I've had in my own Beautycounter business for 3+ years mentoring almost 100 other consultants on my team along the way.

So why the word of caution, you ask? Why not just scream from the rooftops, "Yes, Beautycounter is the missing piece that will make your wellness biz profitable! Join my team and I'll show you how!"

For one thing, you might not know me yet, and I would rather you not get the first impression that I'm full of crap.

Secondly, in the thousands of women I've helped grow their wellness businesses, I haven't seen many direct sales consultants make a full-time income from that one income stream. This goes for Beautycounter and any other network marketing company.

Sure, there are always some that do it, but they're rare.

And what no one admits (out loud) is that you're going to have to become a great recruiter to be one of those high earners in any direct sales company. Beautycounter is no exception.

So it would be a blatant lie to try to convince anyone that they can sell some products and be massively successful. I would never do that.

What I can say, with total certainty, is there is a way to use a great company like Beautycounter to grow your existing health and wellness business online, and be massively successful with that.

Two birds; One stone.

Sadly, I've seen so many health and wellness professionals join my Beautycounter team over the years with the plan that it would be their only income stream.

(And I totally get why, because creating our own programs, courses, membership or signature offerings is SCARY sometimes!)

The thought of making a full-time income selling a reputable product that already exists, and everyone loves, is way more appealing for many of us.

It doesn't require putting yourself "out there" to judgement or criticism. You already know the product is amazing and your customers will love it.

Seems easy enough, right? Sign up as a consultant and the cash will just pour in!

The only problem with this plan is that just selling products doesn't usually pay the bills, remember? You've got to recruit a team that is also selling products to really see some substantial paychecks.

And recruiting team members definitely falls into the category of "putting yourself out there" for judgement and criticism, which brings us back to square one.

This is why many nutritionists and health coaches don't stick with it when it comes to direct sales. That's the bad news.

Luckily, I know there is a better way to approach this whole Beautycounter biz online. That's the good news.

I've done it myself, and have seen my team have great success as well.

It's going to require you to get comfortable selling your own digital product like an online course or membership or 1:1 packages along with your Beautycounter biz.

Here's the truth: If you're going to develop the skill of selling someone else's products (like Beautycounter) then you can certainly sell your own products using that new skill and keep all of the proceeds!

If you've got an open mind and don't just want to be known as "The Beautycounter Lady" in your sphere of influence, you'll love what I have to share.

We don't do at home parties. We don't send "hey girl!" messages on social media. *cringe*

In fact, most of the customers we sell to don't even know we're selling.

It's way more fun.
